ECB Answers Appeals for Better Disabled Toilet / Changing Facilities

The English Cricket Board has this year taken steps to ensure that this years ICC Champions Trophy and the upcomming England Test Matches are the most accessible ever.

iccThey have confirmed that Mobiloo (the mobile Changing Places Facility) will be at all 9 Champions Trophy Cricket Matches at the Swalec stadium Cardiff and Edgbaston.

ECB-logoMobiloo will also be at non less than 7 England International fixtures at Lords this Summer Including two 5 day Test matches!

We can also confirm that the Women’s World Cup Final at Lord’s will also have Mobiloo in attendance.

Tony Clough MBE a #ChangingPlaces campaigner who has been working with the ECB to make this possible said:

“I’m bowled over. The ECB has really hit a six with this one. Disabled cricket fans will be able to attend these games knowing that their needs are catered for”

ICC Champions Trophy Fixtures with Mobiloo

You willl have noticed that the Oval isnt on the list.  The Final is being held at the Oval.  Sadly at present organisers at the Oval have advised that they are not able to have Mobiloo at the Ground due to space constraints.

They state that:

they understand the desire to improve and move forward, and have advised that if they subsequently find any space they will look to see if Mobiloo is avaliable.

We hope that a solution is found, as this would be the First Fully Accessible Tournement and would have Cricket leading the way in accessibility for disabled sports fans.
